Over priced and not well informed was waiting on phone call which never received used to be great vets before was brought over avoid at all costs

I have been using Drumahoe Vets for many, many years. I find the girls friendly, the nurses & vets very competent & caring. Nearly three years ago I lost a beloved pet. The vet who was caring for her worked with me & when we felt "it was time" she came to my home & my wee Angel had a dignified, caring, peaceful passing. My other two girls attend Drumahoe Vets; thankfully they are both bright, fit & healthy. I home feed my girls & this is the first vets practice which was actually able to advise me on their diets. Fantastic vets. *Since this vets has been taken over by a private corporation it has gone from fantastic to a total rip off. I got an estimation for my dog for £360 & with no consultation no phone call when I went over to collect my dog the bill jumped to £690. I got no breakdown from the vets just a demand for the money in full or they were going to keep my dog. Thank God I had the estimate. I told them to give me my dog or I would phone the PSNI. I had £500 with me. I paid them off the extra with a loan Then my other dog got very, very unwell. She had a temperature of 43.6 I suspected she had pancreatitis. I could only afford the first option offered me - a consult, injectable pain relief. That alone cost £100. I phoned PDSA in Belfast for assistance as my poor dog was crying constantly & couldn't sit still. They said I was outside their catchment area. They advised taking my ill dog all the way to Dublin to the Blue Cross. My dog wasn't up to that journey. We are now thank God with an independent vets Foyleview which is owned by the vets & my girls get fantastic care

I found a badly injured cat and took it to drumahoe veterinary clinic,they were so nice and looked after the cat, it was badly injured and in a lot of pain,they rang me with an update on it and I knew they looked after it with kindness and care,it was a stray cat and it was as important to them as an animal that gets paid treatment , wonderful people.

Parklands Vets arranged an appointment quite quickly for Oscar to have his booster, very friendly relaxed atmosphere , Oscar loved the vet , would highly recommend Parklands
